Doubt I'll make it since I have plans to meet some other VFR hooligans at the Cleveland show later this month. Actually just heard it was this weekend a couple days ago, so no planning done.

But where is the brew pub, and when do you plan to start doing your research. I'll be coming home from Southfield and passing there around 3pm. I'm always up for helping a fellow lister do a little research.

Been to that show twice and all I can say is goodthing there are some good beer joints close because the show sucks!! The post is just down the road at Novi and Grand River.

Well they canceled the Cobo one so this is the only Cycle show in Detroit now. I will be going but on Sunday.

The Cobo Center venue in Detroit was way too costly for most vendors to exhibit. The unions and the city have made it prohibitive for just about any show to be held there anymore.

A friend told me there was a "Local Color" brewpub, but it appears that they're gone, so how good could it have been?

There's a sports bar with pool tables 4 miles away.. Oh, well, I prefer bourbon these days anyway.

I am hoping to make it as well. But with a prego wifey at home don't know. And I agree the one at Cobo wasn't so great of a show.

Do they serve beer? Margaritas? (This will influence the sort of stories your wife "may" hear about your exploits.) On the other hand, if you have her trained to wait in the car..

The Post is a bar that serves everything, I think. The mexican place at 8 and haggerty is On The Border, my favorite place to eat before I moved

They jumped AZ then as there's bunches of them in the Bay Area and in SoCal.

I will agree, that is actually decent Mexican food. Not good, but definately decent.
