| Re: Ouch...talk about target fixation Talk about getting over excited. The twerp that fell off was trying to gte his knee down coming out of the pit lane. What a pillock.
The poor guy that ran him over. Can any of you honestly say, hand on heart, that you'd have missed him. |

Incidentally, with the group of people I'd have been racing with. |

| Re: Ouch...talk about target fixation Remind me to never ever go racing in California Why don't they start on the straights like everyone else?
The 600s are probably as bad over here. Mad crashfests, 35 guys pumped right up, all aiming for the same one square foot of tarmac going into turn one.
But really that looks pretty naff riding to me. The visible riders were taking about twenty eight different lines through those relaltively gentle curves. |

This seems like a RedRider, but I can't find the link... I KNOW I've seen the video before. |

| Re: Ouch...talk about target fixation Well if your so confident, let Abtech follow you, throw yourself off you bike and see what happens. If he does a good job, swap places and you have a go.
I think the bloke that fell off wants a good kicking, and the bloke that ran him over deserves a bit of a sympathy. |

| Re: Ouch...talk about target fixation Hate to be critical from just watching a video, but it looks like if he had just maintained his line he would have stayed well inside of the carnage...
The first time someone binned in front of me like that, I think I even said something out loud in my helmet to remind me to keep looking up the turn instead of at bike and rider.
Pretty sobering video no matter how you look at it...

When my brother crashed on gravel a few bike lengths ahead of me all I could think was GO AROUND HIM DON'T BRAKE GO AROUND HIM DON'T BRAKE. Amazingly I didn't crash. |

Bloke in front does something silly and dumps himself and his bike on the track. Bloke following does his best to avoid the bloke laying on the ground in front of him, but fails and accidently runs him over.
And you think the guy on that caused the accident is the good guy? |

Pretty sobering video no matter how you look at it... | Exactly! The hitter changed directions and actually had to turn to the outside to ride off the track and hit the flopper. I've ridden around 10 bikes and riders flying all over the place without running anyone over.
Interesting piece of video. It almost seems like the cameraman must have been watching the monitor on his bike and was trying to get a closeup of the action . |

This guy had to go out into the grass to hit the rider. LAME! |

And you think the guy on that caused the accident is the good guy? | Guy didn't do his best of anything. He followed the downed rider totally mesmerized and in a classic case of what not to do on a racetrack, aimed right for the rider. The "proper" thing to do is look past the incident and ride around it (or in this case, just keep on going where you were headed in the first place). |

**** this, I'm off to look for the contact lens my wife has just dropped down the back of the sofa and when I've found it, then I'm off to bed. Probably in about four hours time. Nighty night. |
