Who wants a job?

Who knows, it could be your dream job come true...

----------
Motorcycle test riders wanted!

Name: Christina
Phone: 480-491-9557
Location: Mesa, AZ
Price: $
Posted: Feb 09, 2006

Description:
Have you dreamed of working in a Proving Ground environment? Come apply to join an elite team of professionals in sunny Arizona. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity! We are looking for Motorcycle Test Riders to support testing for a major motorcycle manufacturer at a proving ground facility located in east Mesa, Arizona. The successful candidate will test ride proto-type vehicles, keeping riding logs and reporting unusual performance, feelings and/or sounds. Excellent benefits and opportunities for advancement are offered.
Candidates must have a valid driver license with motorcycle endorsement. 3+ years experience riding - including in heat, with leathers and for long distances/time periods - is required. This position requires the physical ability to lift motorcycles up to 900-lb from a fallen or parked position and the ability to ride an average of 1,500 miles per week, including wearing full leathers for certain exercises. We need road warriors, not weekend warriors. Must also be able to adapt to changing between sportster, cruiser and sport style bikes.
Further requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a good 39-mo driving record, no serious criminal history, and the ability to pass a physical and drug screen. Please contact Christina @ 480-491-9557 or fax a resume to 480-491-1023

More appropriate thread title would be something along the lines of:

"Check out what job is availible again"

"Dream job is up for grabs again"

"Someone left their dream job, who wants to fill the position"

Re: Who wants a job?

http://www.testapg.com/

They test Harley and Victory motorcycles at Ford's Arizona Proving Ground (Yucca, AZ ... I'm assuming the office advertising is in Mesa/Phoenix). Don't know how large the staffing is now, but about 5 years ago Harley had upwards of 15 and Victory around 5 full time riders. They do have some pretty impressive safety procedures and requirements. And as they say, they are looking for road warriors ... those who will ride across a few states one day, then spend 8 hours on the track the next.
