| Panic I thought it was all over today. I was coming home from the local Sportbike Night we have once and Month and was almost run over by an aggressive woman in a Mitsubishi Eclipse. She wanted my lane and there was not much I could do about it.
That isn't what the panic was all about. There was a clear opening ahead and I went for it. I grabbed a handful of throttle and got away from the car as quickly as I could. The panic came when I released the throttle - I felt the front-end of my bike settle back onto the pavement. I never knew I was in the air. I had moved a full car-length and a half, plus changed lanes all while on one wheel.
There is no one that will ever be able to tell me that a 900RR isn't capable of a rolling 3rd gear wheelie. It's more than capable.
Be careful out there guys. I could have ended up in the ER rather than at home if I had made a slight wrong move. It would have been my fault too.
I just thought I would share my little story. It's the beginning of another riding season. There are a lot of bikes hitting the road again. Keep your heads on straight. |

Maybe your friends aren't old enough to remember the 900 screaming around and scaring the pee out of their owners.

The clutch, an old shriveling | Thank you for making me feel like a kid again. I've got one of those terrible things called a Birthday coming up in a few days and it's been getting to me.
Then again - compared to some of you ooooooooooold, old, old, old, old guys 31 doesn't seem all that bad.
I'm not sure if I would say the 900 has a light front. I always thought it felt like a tank. If not for the 16in front wheel I'm not so sure the bike would be as nimble as it is.
I have always ridden Suzuki's though. Somewhere along the line however I saw the light and made the move to Honda. There's just something about the later year 900's I can't get away from. I love the looks of the thing. |

| Re: Panic I just looked at my join date. I think I need a more productive life. I've only been here a Month and already have more than 220 posts.
However, I don't think that's a record. It might be somewhere, but I doubt it is here. I would almost be willing to bet that Phobe beats my post count by 200 every Month. |
