Well put Ab, I think it is best to internalize our displeasure with others in certain situations.

should be 1st degree murder. I don't think a helmet would have helped the guy on the hog.

Pretty safe to say he'll be in his 60's when parole eligibility arrives. I deal with assholes like this on a daily basis, and unfortunatley it takes an incident as terrible as this to get "the system" to put them away for any substantial period of time. Guys like him should have been thrown in the woodchipper years ago.

Re: Tucson rider killed in "road rage" incident.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's(can't recall exactly when), people were intentionally running bikes off the road in Orlando.

One of them got my dad one day, sent him and his KZ750 into the ditch.

There's some really evil bastards out there.

Re: Tucson rider killed in "road rage" incident.

getting pissy because you ride a motorcycle as well is pure ignorance, all you know is what happened, you dont know why, dont be stupid, you have no idea why what allegedly happened might have, i know i can think of plenty of things, albeit extreme, that would provoke me into doing something of that nature, and everyone else i know, people dont usually run people over for no good reason, people are people, there is a reason. yeah start being ignorant and attacking me now, time to take things out of context!!!

Re: Tucson rider killed in "road rage" incident.

That is murder. If the biker was firing a gun at the driver, that is about the only way the driver's actions could be justified.

No, it is not acceptable. You do not assault a rider with your car. Period.

Car vs. bike.

Oh yeah, I can see all kinds of excuses for that.

Quite possibly the dumbest post I've ever read here.

No we don't know the whole story but we do know that the murderer has a violent criminal past. Outside of trying to defend his own life, nothing excuses it.

Are you a complete jackass?!?!?

I say eye for an eye, he intentionally killed the rider with his vehicle, place that POS in a chair, strap him down and run his ass over with a dump truck.

I remember seeing bumper stickers throughout NH reading "Kill a biker go to jail" while I was growing up but haven't seen anything at all similar on the left coast.

the MA RMV has a sort of campaign to help raise awareness of bikes. They have bright yellow bumber stickers that say "Motorcycles are everywhere" The idea is that people will see them and start actually paying attention and actively look for bikes so they give as much respect as they would another car.
http://massmotorcycle.org/NewsPage.HTML

I agree with Mr X, run him over with a dump truck.

9uno9 you have to be one of the dumbest people ever to come on this board. There is NEVER an excuse to run someone off the road (bike or car).

I say strap the bastard at the top of broke back mountain and let the cowboys Yeeeeehaaaaa all over his ass until he dies!

Back in the 90's when I had my F2 I was ran off the road by this lady in a Branco, purposely. She pulled up next to me while riding and scremed something out the window then started swerving. Thank god I had a driveway to shoot up on and ride along the sidewalk on, she could have killed me, that bitch, oh she got her's real good when she stopped at the next light and I kicked in the side of her car and broke her window, I screamed so dam much she just blew through the light and took off. That will teach you.

Re: Tucson rider killed in "road rage" incident.

As good as it'd feel breaking her window and kicking in her door, I don't think that's enough.

I think the best tack would be, politely, placing her under citizen's arrest, and making her life utter hell as I attempted to prosecute her for attempted murder.

When that was over, it'd be civil suit time.

Yeah at the time, me and my testosterone filled 21 year old body wasn't thinking totally clear. My hands were shaking, my heart racing, I needed instant gratification. Yeah looking back it probably wasn't the smartest thing But I KNOW she learned a lesson.
