| TitusRacing crashed... updated TitusRacing (Chris) was involved in an accident on Sunday. It was a bike to bike crash, in which the other rider crossed the yellow line and hit Chris head on.
He was riding in a group ride in the back and another rider had some problems and they both pulled other while the rest of the group went ahead. Once the issue was addressed (5-10 mins later) they started going again. The rest of the group was waiting and decide to turn around and see what was going on. When the two groups meet up again the leader of the group that turned around crossed the yellow line and hit Chris.
I have been told that the bike Chris was riding had its frame cracked, front wheel bent in three places, tank was ejected and plastics were every where. He was thrown up into the air about 10 feet and landed on the road and ended up in the ditch. The rider that Chris had helped was able to stop and not hit anyone, but got showered with fluids and debris.
Chris has a broken left foreman and has to have a metal plate in it, cracked left knee cap, spinal area is bruised and swollen, and a badly swollen right t________ (guys worst fear). He is also have some short term memory problems from the concusion. Crazy stuff for a Sunday ride and he wasn't in fault or going fast.
Please put this guy in your prayers so he may go to heaven because he is living in hell on earth? Some of you may understand his situation. Update: (4-12-06)
Chris is awake and is at Wake Med hospital on New Bern Ave. Chris was riding his orange ZX-10R and the other rider was on a yellow ZX-10R. The other rider walked away from the crash without a scratch. I have been told the other rider was an older gentleman and was new to riding with this group.
The accident happen out by Beaver Dam Rd and Rock Springs Church Rd, which is NW of Wake Forest.
I got some photos from the accident and they should be attached.

| Re: TitusRacing crashed... updated get well soon titus....
i guess its unfortunate, but ive recently become weary of group rides with unfamilar people. Me and a good friend went riding with a "new group" and one of the guys trailing him wasnt paying attention when traffic was slowing down and clipped him (my buddy) as he(the new guy) slid by with the rear locked up. My buddy went down, at a slow speed, and he could ride the bike home, but it just generally pissed me off. "sorry, i guess i wasnt paying attention..." |
