Re: For those who hate bugs Did you ever notice that when you slaughter that man bugs they kinda smell like fish. So it's not that fish smell bad, it's the bugs they eat that make fish smell bad. I love walking into a store when your totally covered in bugs like that, it's priceless to see the faces of people when they realize what's covering your body. I did it once and I was standing there cleaning off my visor and this middle aged lady was there getting coffee, she glanced over to see what I was doing standing next to her and nearly tossed it and ran out, I just laughed as I wiped my visor clean! Amazing how a few thousand bugs can make someone sick. I swear that day I must have looked like I played paintball with all these different colored bug splats all over me.

I'd be pissed just for the fact that it'd be a pain in the ass to have to clean that off myself and the bike after each ride.

Re: For those who hate bugs I've had it that bad riding over some bridges around here. The sad thing is, when those buggers get into the vents, it's almost impossible to get them out and your helmet will stink for a while.

Re: For those who hate bugs A word of warning about having bug covered helmets, gear, and bikes. Where I am at, if you leave the bugs on your stuff too long the ants will find it. Then you got a real mess to clean out of your helmet.

Re: For those who hate bugs When I lived in Louisiana for a couple of years that's what it was like. The worst were the potato bugs, those suckers were big, they freakin hurt & would almost knock you off on the highway. But that's what happens in a state that has the mosquito as it's state bird

I changed mine at about 9000Km and they were full of carcasses. |

Re: For those who hate bugs Fish flys, nothing like that popping sound under your bike! Heck near the water here they get so bad the road can be slippery. As for those carcasses in the air filter, I let those buggers dry out for a while. It's kinda like making beef jerky, once they're done they come off quite easy. This spring I had a June Bug take out my visor snap on my Suomy. The friggin piece cracked on impact and broke off completely one day. Yes a bug, did that! I swear sometimes I think it's kids throwing rocks they hit so hard. The worst for me is when they splatter all over the visor and you can't see a dam thing, but it's gotta be a big one like a June bug. You can't wipe it off immediately or it smears, you gotta wait for it to dry. I've learned to be quite proficient and dodging the big ones when I see them coming. Fire flys are always good too if you hit them when their glowing......."is that a glowing Kawasaki? No it's a honda coverd in dead fire flys, lol..."
