| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) Unless it's raining in the morning, I ride to work everyday. I don't mind getting wet on the way home. I don't like bringing extra clothes to change into at work and walking around all day with wet feet sucks. One of these days I'll invest in raingear. |

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) Pretty much the same here HOOK. I have about a 45 minute ride each way, a little rain for that long will get you pretty soaking wet. |

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) I check the weather and if I think it's going to rain then I take the cage. Otherwise I ride. Lately it's been like sitting inside the clothes dryer while it is on. Temperatures of 105. Kinda warm. By the time I get home I'm soaking wet but not from rain. Lots of washer loads. |

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) If it looks like it may rain during the day, I usually don't ride to work. There's no motorcycle only parking spaces here, and we lemmings are forced to park on the south 40. But if it looks to be a decent day, I ride as much as I can to work, even with 90% on the slab. But tomorrow is supposed to be sunny here in Cleveland, so I will most likely be on the 51. |

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) With gas prices on the rise again I'm sure that something with 2 wheels will have my fat butt on it. No reason to drive the gas hog I call a truck unless I need to haul something. |

To: All Motorcycle and Scooter Riders
From: RideToWork.org
Subject: Ride to Work Day
Ride to Work Day is tomorrow. We hope you will ride to work, ...or just for fun, ...or for your errands. And we hope you will tell your riding and non-riding friends about the event (please forward this message). Any ride from A to B is important, especially on Ride to Work Day, when all riders can help increase awareness about the benefits of riding. If you'd like to know more, please see http://www.ridetowork.org. In addition, a one hour podcast interview about Ride to Work Day with event organizer Andy Goldfine is available at http://www.ridetowork.org or http://motocast.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=110863. Your support and participation will make a positive difference for motorcycling.
Safety notice: Some parts of the country tomorrow will be extremely hot. Do not participate if you have any concerns about your health or your ability to do so safely, especially regarding the temperature and weather conditions in your area. Remember to drink plenty of water, and possibly wear a wet bandanna around your neck for cooling (etc.).

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) No bike parking here.... The only parking I know of that I could get into isn't secure, and I don't want to give some theif an early b-day present...
First I parked by the bicicle parking with a couple other motorcycles... AVP's didn't like that because we were able to park near their special parking... Then I parked at the Art Building next door near alot of bikes... that worked while I had the VFR, but when I got my ZZR I got kicked out
ATL sucks for daily bike parking... |

As for your situation, I think the schools just hate you because you're an underaverage student. |

| Re: Ride To Work Day (July 19, 2006) I have been real surprised at the lack of bikes I have seen on the roads this week. Since Monday I bet I have only past 6-8 bikes of any kind on my way to work or back home.
The most I seen have been in the evenings, 4-8 bikes parked in the fast food lot just hanging out with their RR this or that. Or a group of them runing from one parking lot to the next. But I tell you what, when I roll by on the RC51 they all stop and get this confused look on their faces like..."hey thats a sprots bike, but wait it sounds so much better then ours?" |

how's the search going on that?
I ride everyday as long as its not raining when I get up and as long as its not going to be raining a lot. a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon doesn't stop me. people at work always say "its suppose to rain later" I tell them its only water
almost didn't ride today. it was still a little wet when I got up this morning from some overnight rain. I went so far as to walk out to the car, then I thought to myself, wtf am I doing and went back in the house and got my gear. there was a guy on the other side of the highway on the way in and we both gave each other a long look. turned out to be a good decision as it was beautiful today. did about 85 miles after work.
