| Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people I am looking for a new seat for my 02 954RR and I want to make the right choice. I would like peoples input on which one they think is better, Corbin or sargent. Better I mean which is more comfortable, which will last longer, what is a better seat overall. I did find out the Sargent is $248 for both front and back. While Corbin is $300 for the front and 200 for the rear, but price doesnt always mean better. If everyone could join in and tell me who they would vote for "that would be great"
Thx |

If I were buying new, I'd probably go Sargent based on rumors about Corbin quality and customer service. However, I managed to find an incredible deal on a used Corbin for the '51 and I absolutely love it. |

The one specific area that almost anyone who has a Corbin seat will encounter is when the cover pulls a way from the rivets that attaches the cover to the seat base. Corbin is very proud that they make their own seat base, that cannot be stapled-that is why rivets are used. The best way to decide for your self is look at the bottom of a Corbin seat. The only thing that Corbin offers if you go to Hollister, CA or live in the area is the custom fit program that Sargents does not offer.

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people Whatever you do, don't order a custom Corbin and expect it anytime soon. 10 weeks and tons of calls to Hollister to get my custom Corbin several years back. The Daytona store where I test rode the shelf model was pretty good to me until I inquired about where my seat was. They advised me to call Hollister since I'd get further than they would.
I did buy another Corbin a few years later for the current ride but I found it online at a parts warehouse. The quality is great, it's very heavy with a fiberglass pan but as long as you don't have to deal with the company, find a deal elsewhere for one. |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people +1 on Sargent. On all the seats we sell, Sargent gets better customer feedback for long term comfort about 3-1 over Corbin. I went with Corbin on my 888SPO because Sargent doesn't do a solo seat for that bike, and it's not much better than the stock brick. |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people I went with a Corbin on my bike because Sargent didn't make one... but I have to say that my experience with Corbin so far has been pretty good. Called them to get samples, got the samples, picked what I wanted and ordered the seat... Think it took 4 weeks all together.
I LOVE my corbin now... They are extremelly comfortable! |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people I have Sargents on my Ducati and my 929. Very good quality and comfortable. Check it out, but I think the "rear seat" for the 929/954 is just a cover that goes over the stock passenger seat. |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people I just looked at their site again. The passenger seat IS just a cover. A bit misleading, as in one place they refer to it as a seat, but in other places a seat cover. I personally wouldn't bother with the cover. |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people the rear seat is just a cover to make the the front and rear match. does add a finished touch once installed. 248 was what I was charged for the set (front seat and rear seat cover and that was a shipped to my door price in nj |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people I just ordered and installed a Sargent seat on my 929. I got the grip fabric with red piping and the rear cover. I wasn't sure that I would install the rear seat cover, but it didn't look right without it. The rider seat is much more comfortable than the stock unit, but still on the hard side. The rear cover was on the small side and had to be heated and stretched quite a bit to get it to fit right.
Over all the sargent looks good, and they were easy to deal with in the order process. It took about 2 weeks total to receive the items. |

| Re: Corbin vs Sargent seats.... I need votes people Well, if it's ok with her, leave the stock passenger seat and get the Sargent. I've seen Corbins and they seem to have less padding. The shape is better, but they're still a plank. |
