Ninja 250

I went to look at a 2005 ninja 250 with about 2200 mile on it. Is this an alright bike? Is their anything in particular to look for?

Re: Ninja 250

My friend had one of them for a year. Personally i liked it. I jumped on it and took it for a little spin. They're a solid beginners bike. Very very forgiving in the corner. Great to learn on. As for what to look for. Just check and see there's no obvious signs of abuse. Shop records are a great thing to see. If it's been regularily maintained and not abused it's an awesome bike for a beginner or even somebody who's just lookin to go for the occasional scoot.

Fun little rides! Very good to learn on, and I even have fun riding my friend's around just for the shear flickability of it! They corner really nice!

They are lightweight and a lot of fun. You'll never forget your first ride on one.

Re: Ninja 250

Make sure the fan switch is working, and the idle adjust on the left side doesn't have it idling at 3000 rpm + to mask any engine problems.

Good little "tough" bike, bought one for my wife, but have ridden myself on occasion...

You definitely don't need frame sliders...those heavyweight blinkers do the trick.

Re: Ninja 250

they didn't change the design for almost 20 years. that says alot about how good of a bike it is.
