| First time on a bike? So what was everyones first experience on a bike?
I was about twelve when I got my first taste. My friend and I got his dads ancient Honda running, no idea what it was, it was early 70's street bike with an inline two-cylinder engine (I know that because we tore the entire engine apart a week later and it never ran again). If we got it over about 15 mph it would cut out, which was probably a good thing. By the end of the first day we were jumping it off a small dirt ramp (the big heavy thing would get about 6in of air). We lived in a small little subdivision where everyone knew everyone so we could ride it around on the streets and no one thought anything of it. My parents wouldn't let me have a bike even though I begged for about the next 6 years. In high school I spent a lot of time on friends dirt bikes and ATV's, after I moved out of the house not only did they give in to my little bro but they bought him a dirtbike and my dad liked it enough that he got his own. That opened the floodgates and since then I've gone through a Honda 100, KX 100 2-stroke (step in the wrong direction from the Honda), KDX 250 (worst brakes of anything with wheels ever), CR 250, and then my bro bought a 95 FZR 600 from the same friend at the beginning of this story. Then I was sold on street bikes and so I bought my CBR fifteen years after that first taste.
