Help! serious issues

Hi ! i GOT A HUGE PROMLEM. i HAVE A 2001 929 Erion edition. my first ride. The bike has been down but up untill last week , it ran fine. last week it stalled. it didnt run again for another week. . An FI and a red light appeared. It blinked 9 times, the repair manual says, change/check intake air temp sensor. wiring and sensor. please note, i have NOT changed the senson yet. yesterday the bike started right up. no stalls no sputters. when this sensor does not work, does it inhibit the fuel pump from working? im scared to ride for fear of being stranded. any suggestions?

Re: Help! serious issues

yes it was faulty and replaced. but yesterday the bike again did not start. i had to put it in the shop. something is keeping the fuel pump from kicking in. maybe it failed? sometimes it works , then sometimes it doesn't. I see what the tech says. this is bound to cost alot.....

Did you get any more fault codes after replacing the sensor. The MIL will flash more than one code in sequence.
