| 900RR aftermarket hey everyone,
i just got a '99 900RR not too long ago. its pretty much all stock minus the frame sliders and the full yoshi exhaust. what are some suggestions of things to do to it. the bike is already pretty damn fast, so i'm kind of thinking about aesthetic things. i would like to trick it out but like i said its all stock and runs perfect and if its not broke dont fix it you know. anyone have any pics of these bikes stretched?
thanks,
-matt
oh and if you suggest anything give me a rough idea of cost please |

| Re: 900RR aftermarket If you stretch or lower it, you change the bike's geometry and handling. You can forget making a run through the twisties if you stretch it out. |

I'm not a fan of the stretched look.
Does it still have the stock windshield? That's a quick, cheap, and easy way to change the appearance. You can also do the usual things like flush mount signals and such. |

| Re: 900RR aftermarket yeah i have heard the same about stretching from everyone. my bike just looks so tiny next to my friends stretched busa. i have not seen a 900RR stretched i was just wondering what they looked like. i plan on doing the flush mounts soon. i have the factory windshield on there now but it had a red speedscreen on it when i bought it. personally i thought it looked like crap because it didn't match the orange at all.
anyone know about how much it costs for polishing?
a)frame and swingarm
b)lips of 16"wheels |

as far as how to polish the rims, do as I did. Get a dremel (those little things are very handy when it comes to lots of things on bikes. cuts an old chain right off too) |

| Re: 900RR aftermarket I still don't see the sense in stretching a sportbike? Unless your intention is to drag it. Unless all you're going to do is ride a mile or so to the local bling lot and site there like a poser.
Bikes are made to be ridden. |

couldn't agree more.
Want a drag bike? Get a zx14 or a busa. |

| Re: 900RR aftermarket Not only does it look gey but whoever built the swingarm .... ever hear of a tubing bender?
I second the opinion... stretched bikes look dumb. You're friend had a kick a_s 900rr then turned it into a pile of sh_t. No offense to anyone but man that is ugly. |

| Re: 900RR aftermarket yeah i have definately decided against stretching it. after looking at that im against it. not that i dont like the stretched look, but i dont think its practical at all after thinking about it.
i think your friends bike would look better if he put the factory swingarm back on there. it looks like whoever built that one was blind. |
