CHUNKY SHIFTING

i have a 2005 cbr 1000. just recently my bike started shifting funny. when in an upshift it feels as if the clutch is not engaging all the way therefore making the shift clunk. it also does it on the downshift too. the bike has almost 10,000 miles on it. anyone have any possible ideas what it might be?!? i plan on dropping it off at the bike shop to be fixed, but i figured i might be able to get some input here first. thanks!!

Have you changed you oil? If so, then adjust you clutch and ensure that you have the correct amount of fluid in the res.

Ever let a "friend" borrow the bike? Its possible someone rammed the shifter and bent a shift fork or two during shifts.
