I don't know if it's because I live in Texas or what but I have a totally clean driving record and Gieco is the best that I could find for my 1kRR at $1300/yr. Is there something I'm missing here?

State Farm - $192 total coverage on my 07 CBR1000. I've also got a completely restored 1975 Honda CB750 which I pay $72.00 for total coverage (have to keep the miles under 2000 a year on the 75).

Re: How much do you pay each year for motorcycle insurance?

Just over $55/mo(comprehensive and liability) and that's if I don't switch to the insurance company I use for my Audi and put storage insurance on it for the winter. No points in MI(registered & insured), OH is another story but they don't transfer. NTM it's my first bike and I'm 20 yrs old ... not like some of you guys in the 25+ range that get ins. for wicked cheap.

state farm is the way to go.. i pay 50 a month for the 954 for full coverage, i was paying 39 for liability on a 600rr through foremost. the more you have covered through state farm the cheaper everything gets. we have everything from jewelery to our house and all the vehicles.

Re: How much do you pay each year for motorcycle insurance?

I was reading some responses and I am upset. Maybe its because I am paying $1100 a year for liability with fire and theft. i live in NYC and I think the location definately matters. I just got the 07 1000rr. I was paying $900 for my 954rr that I just got rid of.

Not that I pay a small amount (440 liability) but many of us are victims of circumstance. Young males new or newish liter bikes. Thats a recipe for ridiculous rates

2006 CBR 600RR, Full coverage, $100 deductibles on both comp and collision.

$445 a year

Auto Club of Southern California, down here, they are hard to beat with full coverage.

My insurance costs me £299 fully comprehensive for my 99 Blade. I thougt that was quite good. £115 t.p.f & t. Very cheap but not the way to go with a nice bike and idiots on the road.

Tank you have an rsv 1000, how do you like it. I am planning to purchase a liter bike in a few months and I am really attracted to the styling of this bike. How does it compare to others in performance?

Hi mate, in comparison, being a litre twin, it's mental, the low down power is unbelievable, much more than the blade. Being a twin the response isn't as smooth as a four but you can't have everything. The top end is great too. Good for 165mph+
You'll enjoy it I promise you.
I've just got rid of my 56 Tuono and that thing pulls your arms off. No bike can beat on stand and start.(On 1 wheel too). The RSV is FASTER top end too.

They are so much fun. The insurance is the same as the blade too.
You won't be dissapointed in the Ape!
Take one out if you can and let me know what you think.

Re: How much do you pay each year for motorcycle insurance?

Man, my liability isn't too bad at only roughly 90 bucks a year for each bike, but being in california really hurts me on the full coverage angle. I got quoted roughly 1200 a year for each bike. All this is through McGraw/Pacific Specialty, who I've been using since 98.

Of course, I've never had any problems with them...but then again, I've never had to file a claim either.

How did you manage that?! I'm at a little over $200 with McGraw group for basic and uninsured motorist, but I just got a ticket wednesday, so it will probably go up.

Take traffic school...it's what I've done for each of my tickets...then I manage to avoid tickets for at least 18 months, and I'm back to being golden.

My last ticket was too recent. It was a wasted one in my car too. Until now my record was clean
