| Small reg plates Anyone help?, Im thinking of buying a small reg plate for my blade, does anyone know if it is an endorsable (3 points) offence or not. If so suppose il stick to my standard plate. |

| Re: Small reg plates Hi,
You from the Uk right?
There was a law passed a few years back that mean you have to have the correct sized numberplate, the correct sized and spaced letters/numbers and the correct width around the plate. Also the plate must also have where it was bought from (as there is cloning - internet made plates dont have where they were bought from = could be a stolen bike)
Its stupid but it helps in seeing if the bike is cloned. Erm, im not sure about the points. They may hum and har about it, but it depends on how illegal you make the plate.
I have managed to get a smaller one, but its just inside the legal margin.
Depends how you feel... |

| Re: Small reg plates Yeah as long as you dont go too far, and depends where you live.
Where i live, there are three police stations about 15 mins away from each other and there are always cars patroling. So far ive been ok with my number plate, but my previous bike was clonned.
And try not to do anything silly e.g. wheelies or stoppies when near them. They pop out of everywhere. |
