General Easy Mods?

Hi,

Sorry if there is a thread already about this, i couldnt find one.

I was just wondering if there were any simple modifications i could do to my 954RR to enhance the performance?

Its got a Micron end can (Race Can) but was wondering what i could do (apart from a PCIII and sprokets).

What is a flapper and what would happen if i were to remove it?

Thanks for your time,

TC

Absolute best bang for your buck mod is braided brake lines. When you say easy do you mean cheap? or actually easy? PCIII, 520 conversion, sprockets, a full system are all easy mods strictly speaking. Simple bolt on, plug and play.

Re: General Easy Mods?

Whats a 520 conversion?

I mean like soft modifications e.g. not too major. Just something that i would be able to do and maybe anything cheaply?

Thanks

Re: General Easy Mods?

It's been said the best nut to adjust for improved performance is the nut sitting on the seat.

The 520 conversion is changing from the stock 530 chain to a 520 chain. In simple terms the 520 chain is smaller and the theory is it consumes less hp to move since it has less mass.

The flapper is a device inside the airbox which helps to regulate the amount / velocity of air coming into the engine via the air box.

If you linger around on this site long enough, you will definitely pick up most of the basics on what effects performance.

Good luck to ya!
