| Re: What is the one thing you never leave home without.. My number plate,it sticks on with velcro but is more off than on,and its very small,so if I see the cops I just quickly stick it back on.Also never without a tyre repaire kit, cell phone, tablets for heartburn and headache, bike toolkit and antihistamin tablets for bee stings. Also I can absolutly not leave without earplugs inserted |

| Re: What is the one thing you never leave home without.. Bee sting kit (epinephrine). Anaphlaxis (extreme allergic reaction (slow death) shock really sucks. They (doctors) tell me I shouldn't ride because increased risk of getting stung. That in my book is not ans option! I also bring antihistamines and try to keep track off were the closest hospital is. |

| Re: What is the one thing you never leave home without.. I always bring a handheld GPS, either in my pocket or mounted on the bike. I can't even count the times I've ridden and ridden and then forgot where I was and couldn't find my way home. I'm terrible with directions and knowing where I am. |

| Re: What is the one thing you never leave home without.. from now on i always take a buddy.
cell phones are good and all, but what if you end up imobile from a crash. it would suck to want to reach for your cell and realize your arms don't work as you start to grow colder and colder in a ditch.
i went on a ride by myself once through the badlands of Montana that i think haven't even been explored since Lewis & Clark. i kept thinking to myself the whole time that if i went down in a ditch here, noone would find me for weeks if not months on end. since then, if i don't have a riding buddy i won't ride. |

Alot of times I don't ride down just one street or take a clearly defined route. I like to take all the country back roads. Depending on how the roads look, I'll zigzag around until the point of too many zags to remember. |
