| Re: My New 2008 Hayabusa Congrads on the new ride. No reason to feel like a sell-out as long as it's what you really wanted for purely personal reasons. Now if you were influenced by rap videos or hp ratings, then the term sell-out could be debated. I personally could not own a Busa but I would love to take one for a spin. |

| Re: My New 2008 Hayabusa The busa isn't anymore dangerous or faster than most 1000's... Probally slower still.. With a 175rwhp and 550-560lbs wet its just a high performance sedan. It does have loads of torque.. But the 1/4mile times stock where still in the high 9's and low 10's.. Its a good all around bike.. I wouldn't take it over any Honda though... Yes they have a fraction more power than a liter but who cares when you can only use it on a straight..
spend some extra cash on ya liter motor and youll match it..
I have actually ridden a 07 model and it was useless compared to my blade or R1..
well thats my 2 cents worth..
By the way its been good reading the posts on this site but sorry guys im selling my 5 week old 2000km 07 repsol and going back to my 06 aniversary R1. For reasons that i cant quite put my finger on ive lost confidence in the repsol..Just doesnt feel as stable in the corners as my R1... Also theres the power difference.. My R1 eats my blade and spits it out..performance and handling. i dont know. not as enjoyable as my first blade in 2001... maybe the tyres..!!!..( battlax ) ( corsa 3 on the R1 ) . maybe cos its standard factory spec and my R1 is modded to the max ( 195bhp at the wheel dynoed ) but there you go...needs must and i have the need for speed..lol....
Have fun guys and ride safe...
Bonjour

THE BUSA WAS NOT MY BIKE OF CHOICE, ID LOVED TO HAVE GOTTEN ANOTHER RC, BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BIGGER AND MORE COMFORTABLE TO RIDE WITH A LITTLE MORE POWER WITHOUT HAVING TO MOD THE HELL OUT OF IT. "HANDLING"? IVE NEVER RIDDIN AN 07 OR OLDER BUSA BUT FROM WHAT I READ AND WHAT IVE FELT RIDING MY 08 IT HANDLES ALOT BETTER THAN THE OLD ONE. THERES A STEROTYPE THAT GOES WITH OWNING A BUSA ESPECIALLY IF YOUR BLACK LIKE MYSELF OR HISPANIC, EVERYONE THINKS I GOT IT TO LOOK COOL AND IM GONNA LOWER IT AN STRETCH IT OUT WITH A FAT TIRE AND CHROME THE SH!T OUT OF IT LIKE SOME POSERS DO. HONESTLY I JUST LOVE TO RIDE. AND ABOUT THE TWISTIES? I LIVE IN FLORIDA, NOT A MOUNTAIN OR A HILL FOR DAYSSS, JUST STRAIGHT FLAT ROAD. THE ONLY ELEVATION I SEE IS GOING OVER A BRIDGE. AS YOU SAID THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS OUT THERE, BUT IM HAPPY WITH MY BIKE AND DONT FEEL IT WAS A MISTAKE

| Re: My New 2008 Hayabusa The Busa is actually one helluva sport/touring bike and rides two up real well. That's what it was originally meant for. That's why Suz makes a couple things called GSXR600 and 1000 for all out sport. I road a Busa for a while since I was storing it for a guy , and really liked being able to take many different circumstances without all the need for gear change gears. |
