More riding this weekend

I am leaving in a few hours to trailer the bike 3hrs north to do some weekend riding. where i live there is not much for challenging riding or decent curves or twisties, this is why i travel. so i will let the miles pile on as we plan to ride both all day saturday and sunday. one thing new that i will be trying this time around is ear plugs while i am riding. i have read a few threads on here saying it makes a big difference. i will give a shot and see how they work. i have no shortage of ear plugs because own a number of guns. anyone else have any rides planned this weekend or soon coming up?

I think more people will be riding Snowmobiles this weekend than bikes!!....Enjoy the ride and be safe.

I was out Friday and Saturday. Beautiful weather. Not too hot or windy. Might even get out again Sunday.

Ear plugs do make a big difference on longer rides, or a lot of combined miles during the day. They cut down dramatically on the fatigue from the drone of the road and wind noise.
I commute 43 miles one way to work on the bike and use Sony noise cancelling ear plugs for the MP3. MP3 player is at a lower volume and wind noise is shut out. Very nice.

just got back today from the big weekend ride. everything went very good with everyone getting back home safe. i now am a firm believer of wearing ear plugs while ridding. they made a huge difference in how i enjoyed my ride. i was really able to concentrate on the road. still can not believe that it makes such a huge difference. i actually am very proud of myself i got a friend that rode with me to take a little test run on my bike, while i road his(06 gsxr600) and he is now trading in his bike to get a honda.

Before I started using earplugs about two years ago I would have told you were nuts if you said they made that big of a difference. Now I’m a huge earplug advocate. Some of the guys I ride with have the custom plugs … you know the ones that are formed to your ear. They say they’re even better!

Not for me, 25 to 30 deg C, blue sky, on holidays, blade fuelled up, missus going shoping, double demerit points finished for the Christmas New Year weekend, it does'nt get much better than this.
