| New to the Forum Hey guys,
My name's Mike and im new to the forum.
Im from upstate New York and i just picked up a '96 CBR900RR.
Its kind of a funny story how i got it...
About a year ago, i bought an old lever action of an old lady at a yard sale for $200 and brought it to the gun shop. Turns out it was pretty valuable, so i traded it in for an Armalite AR-15.
Well, a couple days ago i traded the Armalite for the bike, and i think it was a pretty good deal.
The bike was lightly dropped and needs some new plastics and maybe some brackets.
I cant wait for the weather to break, cause I've been itching to ride all summer.
I just have a couple questions that would really help me get the bike done and ready for the spring.
1. Would anyone be able to snap a picture of where the lower left fairing attaches to the bike?
When i mocked up the LL fairing, i couldnt see any mounting brackets, they may be missing.
2. I've heard around that Michelin Pilot Power's are good street tires, is this true? And can anyone suggest a site with good prices and reasonable shipping for them?
3. When the bike went down, the clutch perch took a hit and I'll be needing to pick one up. Will any late 90's CBR600, etc. perches fit the 900RR?
I appreciate the help guys and this seems like a great forum.

| Re: New to the Forum sounds like it was a bit more than a light drop, post up a pic so we can see what the damage is like....oh and what is a clutch perch?, as for rubber i run Bridgestone 014 on the front and an 021 on the rear great combination for both wet and dry riding, another good alternative is Continental sport attack, though cos you have a 16 inch front on your RR-T then the combo will have to be Road attack on the front and Sport attack on the rear. |

| Re: New to the Forum yea they run pretty far up there in price, but i found some good deals.
All i really need plastics wise is the front fairing and i found it for $160 shipped on the bay, along with the clutch perch for $30 shipped. The rest just needs to be primed and painted.
The only thing im missing or confused about is that i cant find where the lower left fairing attaches to the bike, there doesnt seem to be a bracket there or anything and i cant find a good diagram/photo online, only the rough sketch on the ServiceHonda parts catalog. |

| Re: New to the Forum Doesn't it just mount via a bolt/screw through the fairing and straight into the engine block? |
