| Old fuel cap gasket The '74 Honda 200 again. The gasket in the fuel tank cap is toast! I have yet to find one listed in stock (available)for that model anywhere on the internet.
I can't possibly imagine that this particular size and shape of gasket wasn't generally used for hinged caps from that era. I could go on ad nauseum on the internet looking for gaskets from other models and/or years that might work.
I'd post a picture of it if I knew how to do it on this forum(please link me to a tutorial if one exists here). So to illustrate, the gasket is recessed on the inside edge, a square "C" shape, in cross section, to wrap around the metal disc that has a spring behind it. I know, I need to micrometer all these dimensions. I just happen to have one. D'oh!
Any suggestions or "outside the box" ideas are welcome.
On the verge of ignition...maybe.

If I rode to Ohio and back, I'd be putting more miles on the bike than it has on it now. Besides, I have work to do before I can hope to hear the motor fire up.
No worries
