| Possibly the best deal in the world? So, it looks like I MIGHT be picking up an 07 black 600RR. With only 800 miles on it. The owner bought it for his son but I guess something didn't work out as planned because at this point he wants to just get rid of it and wants someone to take over payments. Has about 3800 left owed on it and he just wants someone to take over the payments and get it out of his garage. If everything completely checks out, I'm thinking this might be quite possibly the deal of a lifetime. Any thoughts? |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? OMG, i hate you because i love that bike! you gotta jump on this -Z-! (or pass it on to me, if you don't)
412 lbs full of fues and style. it's a great bike.
only caveat is to be sure the lein holder will allow the transaction to occur. don't put any money down without a lein release. i can help you with the paperwork if you want.
that is a deal of a lifetime. you sure it's not in Nigeria? |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? Yeah, certain he's not in Nigeria. Buddy of mine told me about it because his fiance (who's father is the current owner) won't let him jump on it, not even to just flip it over and sell for a profit. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna grab it too. I'll let you guys know how things go but figured I'd get a bit of feedback on whether anyone saw any possible pitfalls with this arrangement. BTW, Thanks Gravy Leg. |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? Yep that's a far better deal than I got on my bike and I thought I got the deal of a lifetime. Buy it now and I'll be super jealous. I was watching for an '07-'08 RR for a long time and came across one for that price but it "was" in London.

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? yep, 2nd that. once swopped my '96 c220 merc for a built up 2002 954. i had no option but to rebuild the bike myself and then flogging it for a pittance. i did not scrutinize the title, my fault but at least I learnt everything about the modern bike. that was priceless. |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? Okay, so I failed....turns out that the guy ended up selling it just yesterday. Someone else heard about it and called him up, and handed the guy cash a couple hours later. So, how crazy is this? I was gonna take over the payments for the guy like he wanted, and he said he owed 3800 still. No problem, I was all set to take his problems off his hands. Just a matter of doing the paperwork when he had time to meet with me. And then this other guy comes out of the blue yesterday and he lets the bike go to this dude for 2800 cash. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed. I mean....WTF? Could have called me up at least!!! ARGH. |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? No, that's the real kicker...according to my buddy, who wanted it for himself originally, it was MINT....he would have snatched it but his fiance wouldn't let him not even to turn around and sell it for a profit. |

| Re: Possibly the best deal in the world? who's telling the truth? is father lying? probably still has the bike stashed away. Anyways, why was father so ready to divulge price? and a lower one too. too many questions and therefore a very shady story indeed. i'll stick with the old maxim, Nothing's for free in life, there's always a price and that applies to everything incl. girlfriends. lol. |
