Power Commander 3 ?'s

I bought an 02 954 with a power commander 3. I have no idea what to do with it or even how to use it. What should I do with it, to make sure that I am getting the full potential out of it?

Power Commander Product Information

PC3r of PC3usb? To get the full potential out of it you need to have it tuned on a dyno. What is your bike set up? Any hesitation?

Re: Power Commander 3 ?'s

I think some people will argue with that. The website provides several maps that you can pick which exhaust the bike has and which air filter it has and download it. If you have the power commander 3 usb, you can take a usb cable and plug it directly into a laptop and see which program is loaded onto it. It is nice to have something tuned on a dyno, but alot of times it may not run perfectly if you do riding in other areas with different sea levels and varying temperatures.

Re: Power Commander 3 ?'s

He asked how to get full potential out of the PC which is dyno tuning it. He can get most of the performance from using the online maps but a full tune does make a difference.
The ECU's base map adjusts for elevation and temperature. The PC doesn't have to.

A full tune is gonna make the biggest difference. it is tuning for your mods, temp in your area, altitude and all that good stuff.
