Looking at a 2000 900rr.. should I buy it?

A friend of mine wants I stopped by a buddy and he said he would trade me his bike for mine. He already has a bike and he's going to give my bike to his wife (as her first bike). I don't know much about the 900rr other than it's a lot quicker than my bike.
How is it working on it (maint, etc)? How comfortable is it for weekend riding etc? How's the torque on it (starting out, mid, long). Any issues with it? Is there a lot of aftermarket mods for it?

Any info would be welcome..

Do you mean a 2000 929RR? I know TECHNICALLY even the 954's are tagged 900RR's

Yeah, the 929 is great. I went riding with a friend of mine who has a GSX-R 750, and we traded for a few miles. 929 is so much more stable and planted that the extra power doesn't seem at all intimidating- and my previous bike was an SV-650.

Go for it, you won't regret it.
