Our Hero - Seen anything stupid on the road lately? So I'm driving to the bike shop in the car on Saturday and as I round the bend in a 60k zone I spot a cop with a radar but I'm ok because I'm at 59.9. Anyway as I go past he hits the trigger and nails the bloke behind me, I got another 300 yards down the road to the lights where another cop rounds the corner and nabs a bloke in an old bomb. So cops are 2 for 2 in under 30 seconds. I turn right and double back along the service road to the bike shop and get out of my car and look back at the whole scene - tickets being written stories being told. Then I see a bike glide to a stop at the lights in the distance, on green he becomes a hero and decides to do something very clever by hoisting the front and he has not even noticed the two cops up in front busy booking people. Have you ever seen a deer or zebra run up and jump into the lions mouth? No either have I, not until that moment. They got him and I guess by this stage they are running out of ink in their pens He's toast, down here that is instant loss of licence, he certainly showed us how cool he was! Hero. And for the record as much as I hate to say it he was on a blade.

Re: Our Hero - Seen anything stupid on the road lately? I seen a guy here last sunday learning to ride on an RC. Shorts, NO SHOES AT ALL, and a tank top. From the looks of it, the guy hit the throttle, panic'd, put his feet on the ground (guess tryin to scrubb of some speed, bout 30 mph i guess), i think that his foot somehow went between the chain and the arm, he flew off the bike and slid for a bit. the medics came and got him, the RC recieved minor scratches. He looked like he was dragged by a truck, he'll prolly lose his foot too, what was left.

Re: Our Hero - Seen anything stupid on the road lately? saw some guy on a r1 doin stand up wheelies on one of the buisiest roads in town wearing skate shoes, shorts, no shirt, no helmet, go over backwards at about 60mph. i would have stopped to help but he was going the other way on a divided road. and frankly i probably couldnt have restrained my self from yelling at him for being so stupid. also am not sure if he made it through or not.
