My busted knee isn't helping tho. It's been nearly 6 weeks that I am out, and all the weight that I had shed has now been regained. And no idea when it'll be 100%

| Re: Whats hacked you off today? Hacked off..
I almost got side swiped by two fing cagers on the way into work.
First guy in the big suv, on the cell, on to the freeway and across three lanes breaking across a solid white into the carpool lane. All with no turn signal.
Second guy had to be in his 70's, must have forgotten how to drive, his head never even moved. He looked strait ahead no turn signal and jerked it hard across a solid white line into me. Very near miss.
Did you know I can ride backwards while using sign language? |

In my younger days it was just as easy to remove the mirror.
No point in them having it if their not going to use it. |

No point in them having it if their not going to use it. | have yet to take off a mirror. but about 8 years ago there was a silver benz running around phx with a dent in the drivers door. stupid lady was drinking coffee and talking on the cell when she drifted into my lane. i had no place to go so i side kicked her door as hard as i could without knocking myself into the wall...left a nice fat dent best part - when i kicked the door, i scared her so bad she yanked the wheel over hard going the other way and almost took out the car on her other side. im sure she went on home change her undies after that... |

Sentanta, have a look at a book called "Body by Science" - might be your cup of tea. Quote:

Some 4x4 (SUV) nearly ran me over the other day as it, just like that, pulled into the road from it's parking space. There was no rear lights of any kind - it just pulled out! If I had not noticed that the 4x4 had wobbled just a moment before, it would have ran me over good and proper.
There should be on the spot fines for that sort of thing. Fines such as tyre slashing, punch in the face, driving ban for life etc.

Cagers would all think (and look) twice before pulling out then, I promise you. |

| Re: Whats hacked you off today? I agree with the statement but there is simple coutesty. I was at a stop light to make left hand turn onto major street, behind me is a guy in a suv ok there is a cross walk with a person crossing the street with the light. Alright light changes person starts to cross street, I start my left turn but waiting for the person to get to the other side. The guy in the suv does not want to wait for me to make turn he is crowding into the turn left even before the person has cross the street. I was what *&%$ but I made turn as the person hurrys to get out of the way of suv, the person in the car next to me (going the other way) you could see them like saying what the heck is this guy doing? one time I wish the heck a police officer would have been there but of course not. |

I agree, it's called an acceptable risk.
But at the same time flagrant violations such as cutting across a solid line (car pool lane) while only one person is in the cage (need two). And almost killing someone should be dealt with accordingly.
In the states most the time a biker is killed due to the actions of a cager. The cager is MAYBE cited, very very rarely do they receive a harsher penalty.
Maybe the laws across the pond are better. |

Oh agree with you, I was mainly refering to evryday riding and leaving the mad days out. No matter how hard we try there can always be some idiot that will mess us up.
Nope laws aint any better here
