Honda Nighthawk Question

I have a friend who has a 1984 Nighthawk 700 SC. Thought maybe someone on here can solve a small problem. Anyone know if there is an idle adjustment anywhere on the bike. Bike runs great till you stop. Won't idle high enough to stay running at a stop. Seems like a simple idle adjustment would do the trick, but he can't find an adjustment knob/screw...Any ideas?

Re: Honda Nighthawk Question

I've never heard of a Nighthawk but if it's just the same as a CB750 the idle screw should be underneath between the centre carbs.

Re: Honda Nighthawk Question

It definitely has one, can't remember exactly where. I would start with center of carbs as suggested. The 700 SC was a very popular bike back in the day. When the U.S. put a stiff levy on bikes over 750 cc's back in 83, they popped up everywhere. Good performance and low maintainance. Btw, let me and black?
