Re: paint job

Wow, someone just sprayed that whole thing huh

I'm not a massive fan of matte, has to be done really well for it to work, eg. 2005 zx6r. A nice glossy black would be good.. I'm a sucker for blue though.

Re: paint job

I'm not a fan of black at all but a really well done job like that one could sway me :-)
Looks like it's been parked in a coal mine :-)

Deep Gloss Black... Or maybe add a few blue speckles?

Re: paint job

I want to spray mine gloss black and then a coat of clear glow in the dark paint under the clear coat for the night time. I wonder if that would work?

What does it mean when it sayd Duration? Does it only last a certain time?

Looks quite nifty, so does the price.

Re: paint job

i imagine duration means how long it will glow after dark, i'm sure it's like all the little toys we used to have that you would hold under a lamp to make them glow.. 3 hours seems like a pretty long time, but it sure is expensive..

Re: paint job

The one on top says the duration is 12+ hours. I was reading about it and it says that it is not totally clear so I don't think it would work well with the black underneath. They also sell it in a powder form that you can mix into your paint or clear coat.

Maybe I'll try it on my dirt jumping bicycle first and then maybe the blade. It's pretty pricey stuff, but how many people do you know that have a glow in the dark bike? Maybe some ghost flames like in the pic below?

Re: paint job

I'd go for UV reflective on black - so can only be seen under certain lighting.

Patterns, flames, tribal stuff, or anything you can think of.

Re: paint job

sorry but all honda's have to be painted in Colin Edwards replica paint - so you have a choice of Laguna Seca colours or Dodgy Castrol Green.

Sorry its the law - or at least it seems to be!!!
