'96 cr 125r

my 96 cr 125r has a problem with leaking coolant into the transmission
how is this possible?its a 2 stroke.could it be the waterpump?

yup defintly the water pump seals, easy to fix just take off the right hand side casing and remove the water pump shaft (the water pump impeller threads onto the shaft, possibly left hand thread). replace both seals and the bearing and good as new!

when you say right side casing, do you mean the clutch cover

Nah sorry not quite that simple, i mean the next layer behind the clutch cover, it covers the primary gear, power valve actuator, and houses the water pump and the kickstart gears. not too bad to remove, maybe 15 minute job. dont forget to drain trans oil first
