| Finally! first ride on new 929 It seems like it has been raining for EVER !! I got this bike before Thanksgiving and haven't been able to ride until today. This is my first liter bike and I LOVE IT!!
Got off work early and cruised around in the sun until dark. I felt a little weird because I sold all my street gear with my last bike and was riding around with MX gear. NOT SQUID STYLE! Just looked funny
Can't wait to get out of town!
Since I am in the market any suggestions on where to get a good deal on gear? |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 Congratulations on the new bike! Motorcycle-superstore has a lot of sales/clearance if you can find the right size. Check around on this site and ebay. I picked up two more jackets last month just because they were pretty cheap. |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 You can find sales all of the time, you just have to look around. With the current economical climate, prices will be negotiable. If you find something you like now and the price is right, get it now. |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 OK I'm just curious
I keep seeing the bright colored helmet mohawks around town and at first I thought they were goofy, but now I realize that they are eye catching (noticeable) I even see them in the other side of the freeway when I drive my cage. So I am thinking of getting one because I think It might help drivers see me, but on the other hand I don't want the world to think I'm a stunting jerk
Opinions? |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 It will be the wrong type of attention you will get. The upside, if you carry a dustpan, you can use your helmet as a broom. |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 I got a set of Kobe leathers from 1888-fastlaps ebay page for like $200. Heavy nice leather, and probably the most comfortable for street riding ive ever had. I did get them 1 size larger. I laid the bike down already with them once and they held up fine. Build quality is good, sizing is a little off, they run big. Overall id buy another set tomorrow if I needed to. Fastest shipping ive ever had, paid on Monday fedex arrived on Tuesday.
Helmets, Competition Accessories: Automotive, Motorcycles, Atv, Outdoor, Sports, Recreation, Events, Rally, Bike Week
I couldnt find anyone cheaper. 3 day free shipping. |

Oh and I'm guessing at the mileage, All I know for sure is that it cost me 7 dollars to fill up and I rode for three hours and it still looks pretty dang full |

Then you will be able to see how many miles you get out of your tank. I do this everytime I fill up and get around 140 miles before the reserve light kicks on at 1 gallon left. |

| Re: Finally! first ride on new 929 Sure set you oil as trip "B" and reset it the same way. Just make sure you are on trip "B" (oil mileage)and not Trip "A"(gas mileage) when you reset it. To switch between "A" and "B" just press and release the left button. Do not hold it down or it will reset itself. Oh and if the battery dies it will reset itself too. |
