VASCAR Speed Detection Devices May Suffer From Interference!

If you have been convicted of speeding sine 2005 and evidence from one of the VASCAR systems was used to prove you were speeding, you may want to read this..

VASCAR May Suffer From Interference.

Apparently it has been found that they might suffer from interference from police radios and GSM phones and might give faulty readings of your speed!!!

Todays entry is even better...

U-Turn Over VASCAR Decision

Especially the part from their own user manual which says..
It is impossible to obtain complete immunity from radio interference.
As well as,
It is not possible to lay down a strict criteria for safe operating distances from transmitters. The strength of the interference depends on several factors, such as transmitter frequency, type of aerial and modulation system.

IMO, it really doesn't matter; you are guilty until you prove your innocence. You can show without a doubt, that the officer or the equipment was wrong and yet the judge will most likely not decide in your favor.
