Lock should be at the back under the tail light.

Re: Project 929

if you have an undertail on the bike .. it will be on there there .. and if there isnt a lock in place you might have to do it with your finger through the hole .

After removing my tail to put race bodywork on I removed my trunk mechanism, and losing it in the ol' pile of parts somewhere, then deciding to make it a streetbike again I just made my own system for unlocking the back seat.

Re: Project 929

There should be a locking mechanism if your seat it being held down . Do you see a hole under your tail? If there is one put your finger and do it manually . Don't break your your tail lol

Re: Project 929

okay im a little over my head, i know only a little like electrical and connection stuff

but im gonna need to drop in an engine and i was thinking i may as well shell out a couple more hundred for a 954 engine, but i was told to get throttle bodies as well...because of the bottom of my stator cover *pics above*

so should i just do this trial and error

or take it to the shop down the street...kinda...and tell them to fix it and just run over everything on the bike?

only thing left on the bike to do now is drop in an engine and get some plastics, mirrors and screen and im good...

the speedo and headlights work, but tail doesnt and when turning on a blinker or low beam the speedo blinks on and off...thinking battery or connection?

and i tried to crank the bike before and it wouldnt do anything, i hit the button with the switch engaged and nothing happens...

any and all advice will be appreciated thanks

Have you checked the voltage at the battery?
Can you hear the fuel pump priming?

It may be fully charged but breaking down under load. You'll need to check how low it falls when you try starting the engine.
Yes, the fuel pump will whine inside the tank when you turn the bike on. If not then it's most likely one of the kill switches - ignition, kill, sidestand, clutch or bank angle sensor.

how are you so smart...i randomly scan the forums and you have answered every single post with a 98% success rate...

but im thinking it may have be my side stand sensor because it was down, i just pushed it once then came back inside...it was cold that day

Some people sink their time into watching or playing sports, some drink and some collect unusually shaped pretzels and that's what they focus on - I just love working on and riding bikes :-)
When I was younger I had a photographic memory so I never studied for exams, pages I'd read were just there in my memory when I needed to pull them up - not anymore though. Strangely, I also learned early on that there is no need to pack your memory with stuff, it's far more efficient and accurate to simply learn how and where to find the answers when you need them :-)
