ATTN: EVERYONE! Motorcycle GPS Survey-please fill out!

My g/f has put together a survey for her MBA-Marketing class. Her major project for this class is to write up a marketing plan for a new/improved product and she's going the direction of motorcycle GPS solutions. Please take the time to fill it out - it only takes a few minutes to complete. All surveys need to complete by Friday afternoon/evening so data can be analyzed over the weekend.

All information is confidential, and won't be used for anything other than for her assignment. I know I haven't been on here in a while, but hoping to get some help from you guys on this one. The more people we can get to respond, the better the information will be for the marketing plan. Thanks in advance everyone, it's a big help!!

Also looks like I'm a troll - sorry for the first post being a favor, but I've been on here a while, just haven't been able to contribute anything yet, haha!

If you have the time, great! If you guys don't want to help out the (apparent) random guy, I can totally understand.

Just so you guys know, I ride a CBR 1000RR and she's a rider too!

What did you expect?
Very few people use GPS's on bikes so you'll need to wait until one that does sees the thread.

Proberly better to ask on a touring site, as you will find a lot more users of sat nav. use one all the time in car but never on bike, the way i generaly ride it would not be safe to do so. Hope you find the answers you need, dont take it personally as most on here are proberly in the same boat as me...

i filled about half of it but i dont use a gps so i figured it was pointless and stopped

good luck with the survey....try a BMW or a Goldwing forum..they use this more than sportbike riders

Thanks for the honesty guys.

As for GPS's on sport bikes, here in the Chicago area we have quite a few guys who use them to navigate the hundreds of little tonws/suburbs in the area as well as plan routes into surrounding Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Trips to these states are the only way we know to find curvy roads around here. I know we use them a lot, but I see it's not as popular in other places around the country/world.

For the few of you that have responded, thanks for the opinions. For those who don't run a GPS, fill it out just the same and let us know why you choose not to or just haven't done it yet. Determining the market for this project is what will help us immensely in developing a product that we could really sell.

I use a Magellan Xplorist 500 on my Bandit 1250 - no GPS on the CBR929, though... I guess I wouldn't need it on the track

I filled it out completely just now... I am not too fond of GPS on a sportbike though... I am only good for racing and canyons that my crew and I know already....
