750cc is the best motorcycle engine for size, weight, power and fun factor I reckon. 600's are revvier but don't make enough power.
Once you get above 750cc the engines are making too much midrange for my liking.
Now, grafting two CBR400R engines into an 800cc V8 - that sounds like fun :-)
