85 Nighthawk 700 Throttle Cable Broke

I am restoring an 85 Honda Nighthawk 700 S. The throttle cable A was rusted and broke. Now trying to install the new cable, both throttle cables are buried between the carburetors. I canít even see the ends, much less get my figures in there to pull the ends out of the crank.
Any suggestions or tricks? Or do I have to pull the air box and carbs half off to access the cable ends? Thanx for any suggestions.

I use long-handled, long-nosed pliers bent at various angles for these jobs.
Sort of like these but you should be able to find them in sets of three or four of different bends.
