Well maybe sweet sixteen.
Out of interest I started to add up lifetime costs but stopped when it became a little unsettling.
Best not to reflect but to spend what you can afford when you can afford to and when you know it will bring a smile and memories that are yours forever
Just clocked up 185,000ks.
Things were getting cramped in the shed with another purchase and with the bride questioning my sanity, I advertised her for $3000. A couple of low ballers didn't put me off selling but when a local enquired I realised I couldn't sell. 20 years of memories is worth more.
And the bride agrees. What a woman.
So the tentative plan is to change all the fluids - forks and coolant still remaining- then move her to the back of the shed once the rego expires. In some Australian states, she's eligible for club rego and at ~$90 for ~90 days, that's doable without letting the regos lapse in the other bikes.
Electrics stand up ok in our climate. Rectifier, ignition switch and maybe a clutch lever switch are all I can recall.
A great bike. Disappointing that Honda didn't keep developing it.
Unlike here, I live near the seafront, it rains for 11 months then snows for 1 month, and for good measure the salty air rusts everything else, but would I be anywhere else.....too bloody right I would:crying
Well, this looks like it's going to turn into some fun.
I fitted the new regulator rectifier and ran the regulated voltage test and no improvement.
Back to the workshop manual.
