I knew there was a reason...

...for keeping the stock shock from my '95 RR.

I was reading some old threads on CBR1100XX Owner's Org. and noticed that a shock from that era RR (coupled with about 6MM worth of shimming) helps the XX out quite a bit.

Anyone out there tried this?(the shock, I know shimming helps)

BTW... Pulled the XX out of storage yesterday, hasn't been turned over since labor day last year. One hour on the trickle charger and it fired right up... gotta love a Honda.

Just got insurance on it again. State Farm got a little pissed at me (I guess) when I totaled my truck back in November. I insured my Durango with someone else and they (of course) dropped my motorcycles.

I had been doing trackdays on the 954 and work has been crazy lately anyway (that's a good thing ). I've got my priorities in order now though .
