That is one pretty bike (has Conq seen this thread yet, he's bound to wax nostalgic).
My 'busa w/Ventura might not even be the uber-tourer that double-X is, very nice! |

| Re: Bird to Go Yeah, nice sign. Need a few out here on Palomar and the crest.
Looks as though it was a nice time up there. Buddy lives up there and takes his SV out from time to time. Did a, ehem errr aaaaaa, rent a hardley trip there myself. Nice...
How did the bike handle with all the bags on it? |

How did the bike handle with all the bags on it? | The bike handles great, now that I've raised the ride height a bit. The new Continental Road Attack's handled wonderfully... very neutral, no tendencies to fall into a corner like my 010's (made even more evident by cupping over time). The only problems that I encountered came when I hit the expressway here and there (I tried to stay away as much as possible). Buffeting from the 'dirty' air coming off tractor trailers made life interesting. |

I think I've seen "motorcycles use caution" just before some grate bridges. I think the one into main has that sign but its been too long since I've been there. |

I will make the trip again, I've done this every year since I've owned the XX (four years now). Next year may be different though, my brother wants to make a cross country run from Georgia to Wasington (state). All I have to do is convince the owner of our company to let me have off more than one week at a time (odds are not in my favor).
