| Bench Racers What a great day in sunny South Florida it was, little cool this morning,45 when I left. Been organizing a ride to .6 in Sebring for some folks from a few various local boards to come out and have some fun, meet new people. Several of them as well have been keyboardin some viscious races for the Ole Blackbird for some months now. Some of them actually called my cell phone yesterday for directions and promised to be there today. Couple of us left this morning to meet some usual folks from Lauderdale in West Palm, sky's were clear, we left out and headed north at 9:30. The drive through Palm Bch. and Martin County was long and boring at ten max mph over the speed limit as this is no place for sportbike's to misbehave due to the congestion. Once we got to the country in Okeechobee and headed north toward Sebring we started to make good time on 98, no traffic or dangers to worry about, another road you can see the curviture of the earth on. Present was one of my Busa Buddy's I ain't seen for a while, we always have good even wheel to wheel dump ons. Today he pulled alongside and kicked my ass good, shaking my head side to side I'm saying has he been being generous to the Ole Man all this time and not wanting to hurt my feelings? That sucks, little bastard. So when we got to .6 I asked him that and he said "No, I changed my cam's, they work good". Well, not to my surprise, the other clowns never showed that were gonna show me how slow Blackbirds were. We had a ball, no one wrecked, friggin batteries went dead in my camera as soon as I tried to take pic's and we all went to the Blue Lagoon in Sebring for burgers about 1:00. Riding with me was a local with an RC-51 and an Aussie on a Suzuki V-twin 1000, they had a blast all the way there and all the way home. About a 400 mile day. |

You and your ilk do nothing but blacken the eye of the national sportbike community.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, geek-boy. |

In the future I do wish you would pay closer attention to the facts before your mockingbird mouth overloads your wonderful alligator ass again. |

It would take six months of track time to accomplish what we do in one afternoon here. That's why we drive the speed limit or close to it for fifty miles west on a sunday to play on roads with no traffic, intersections, driveways, mailboxes, kids on bikes, or cops. Police don't bother anyone there because even they know we are better off out there than racing up and down 95 or Rt. 1 as others do.
FlameFest? more like DumbAss Fest when a few people are ignorant enough to compare a Blackbird to a 954 or 929 or RC51 in perfonmance? Yall are use to some pussy ass Blackbird drivers or something, I don't get it, |

Jeezuz man, think about what you're saying!!
If I may ignore your verbal diarrhea for a moment, think about this:
Just because I live 3-1/2 hours from Grattan and about the same from Cayuga, that doesn't give me license to go find an empty road and rip it up!!! Holy Crow, and people like you wonder why many cops hate Sport Bikers?? |

To quote the mighty Dave Despain "Anyone with a right arm can go fast in a straight line". It's all about the twisty roads mang
Blackbird guy, if you are that far out, in a desolate area, go for it |

| Re: Bench Racers Finally, some Intelligent people have spoken, thanks guys, I was beginning to think this entire group was unable to comprehend a story and make an intelligent comment after. I think Chain has several profile's here there can't be that many dummie's in one place. The Police in Sebring LOVE US SPORTBIKER'S. We all fill our tanks and eat lunch there, we obey all the traffic rule's coming into and leaving town, they know where we are and what we are doing there and never one time have I seen them or even heard of them coming to .6. We collect our trash and some bring blowers every week to clean the pine needles off the road. We brought chain saw's(no relation to pinhead here) and cleared all the hurricane mess there. Sportbiker's and sport car racers drive from 200 miles away every sunday to Sebring, no one else does, there's nothing there. We don't race through any little town on the way there either, the only cars we see are parked at Church's usually. The only people I ever see pulled over are the Harley packs with straight pipes that rumble through town and interupt Church Services. |
