Do they still make the blackbird?

I was just wondering if honda is still making the blackbird?
I have not heard much on it other then the cool rumors of 180rwhp@400lbs with VTEC busa eating monster bike(not likley but we can dream can't we?)

If they stopped making them what year did they last make it?

They made an '03, but the '02 Blackbird is the fastest bike on the planet - as long as it has a TwoBros exhaust.

You know, that's true. I read that somewhere. I heard it doesn't need any other mods on it either.

Busa owners started a petition to ban them.

Re: Do they still make the blackbird?

Hi there!
I am new to this site, so I'll introduce myself shortly.
My name is Frank, age 42, and I am the president of the Dutch Blackbird Owners Club. Please check out our Forum: http://bb.superblackbird.info/

To amswer your question: Yes Honda still makes and sells the Blackbird, even in 2005. Just the USA-importer opted not to import the bike anymore, because they have a large stock of 2003 (and even 2002) bikes left. As far as I know this is the only region in the world where this has happened....
In Australia the BB is the best selling bike in it's class.....

Any questions? PM me.....

The reason it sells so well here is probably as much due to the fact its been discounted by around 20% for ages as anything else. Still a good bike though - I came close to deciding it was time to move to sport tourers when I got my CBR1000RR and the BB would have been high on my list of choices. Has been a long while between significant updates though - but a V5 version does sound good if I can remember where all the fixed speed cameras are around here....

Re: Do they still make the blackbird?

The blackbird was the first sport bike i ever rode. A friend of mine had an 02 and yes it had two brothers. I did 130 on pch. My ass is still trying to catch up. I thought i wasn't going that fast. What a bike, way better looking than that monstosity with a cool name.

Re: Do they still make the blackbird?

They were still making and importing the BB into Australia until ~ a month ago when it was anounced that no more would be imported to Aus They are still selling like hotcakes here too - they have been the highest selling in their class ( Busa,ZX14, BMW etc) for the last few years I am not sure about Europe whether it has been canned there as well . Very little changes from 03 to now though but then when it is so good why change

Re: Do they still make the blackbird?

There were rumors of 2008 1200xx, even some pics on google. but havent seen one on the exhibitions and such.

Has anyone heard about it. a 1200 XX ???

By the way my local dealer sells 2008 1100xx, or maybe left overs from 2007 :p
