hi, i have a 1997 xxv, i ve recently had toi replace the forks with a set off a later model, everything is fine apart from the mudgaurd it doesnt fit the new forks. Im having trouble finding out what year the new forks are from. On my original forks there is an external mounting bolt and another one further up kinda recessed around the fork into the mud gaurd. On these new forks the mounting bolts are both external on the forks and one is directly underneath the other one. Is this making sence or have i lost everyone as i am lost. Has anybody got any idea on what year these new forks are from as i need a new mudgaurd from that year then i can worry about getting it painted. Would be very grateful for any help, cheers

i suspect no-one has replied to your post because no-one knows the answer dude. so dont get paranoid.
i dont know either. try your local honda dealer (not known for their friendliness!!)

Your new forks are not from a Blackbird. All years of the Blackbird have the same fitment for the front fender, and the only difference in the front fender for all the years is the color. Although the forks are different internally, they use the same fender, same brake calipers, and can use the same axle as any other year.
