Blackbird Gears

Hi Guys
I was wondering if other Bird owners have or are experiencing noisy gear changes. Mine seems to go in to most gears with a clunk unless I delay the gear change for a moment after pulling the clutch in. It's ok under 3000 rpm but get's noisy when I start to give it a bit of stick. Apart from that it is really sweet to ride.

Re: Blackbird Gears

1999 fuel injected 46000k just had it's major service a bit early. They put Repsol Moto Sintetico 10w/40 in. I usually do the minor services myself but took it in because the valve shims were due to be checked and brake fluid changed neither of which got done anyway. We live and learn. The bike goes great can't fault it any where else, just wondered if it was a normal trait with the BB. Incidently I just took a mates 2008 cbr1000rr for a ride a great bit of kit, too compact for my 190cm frame but real nice to ride, it still didn't seem to have the out & out grunt of the BB to me. I would love to get a new set of wheels but just can't find anything that is a suitable replacement. I just keep hanging on hoping Honda will come up with a replacement the BB was discontinued over here in Tasmania in 2006 and allthough rumours have been going round ever since nothing seems to be happening. Anybody tried anything they like as much?
