Hello,
Has anyone installed one of these? Do they work well?

Yes, I've done 3 now! One on a 98 'Blade, one on a 04 GSXR750 and one on my 02 'Blade. Easy to install and easy to program too. I find them very handy.

Re: Accumen gear indicator

Just ordered one and waiting delivery. I will let you know my views when I have fitted it. I'm in Tasmania but I think I found the cheapest available at
bikersdiscountstore.co.uk 46.60 gbp + 7.50gbp International postage, about half the price I could get it for in Australia

Re: Accumen gear indicator

I fitted my first one on my old 98'Blade after I went into a roundabout thinking I was in second gear. On the exit to the roundabout was a slight lip, as I gassed away from the roundabout I found that I was in first and nearly looped the bike!!!

It's a personal preference kind of thing, bit like a little insurance.

Re: Accumen gear indicator

Same reason I ordered mine I was going into one of my favourite left handers on the xx which has a 5th gear approach but a double change down to 3rd on entering. I did it wrong once was in 4th and went down to 2nd locked the wheel up and had one of those skid marks in your pants moments. I found I was going up to 6 and down again just to make sure of the gear selection on some approaches a habit I didn't want to get into.
