Blackbird owners - check your rear suspension

I have just seen this on a local forum I use - the fella that posted it runs a motorcycle workshop near me and posted this up:

I had a blackbird in the other day & owner was saying it didn't handle right & the rear tyre had some odd marks on it. On closer inspection i found the rear lower brace where the dog bone & stand mounts had broke clean away on the right hand side & 3/4 of the way through on the left hand side. The owner would not permit me to take any pictures ( i always ask first as i consider it to be polite ) but i have never seen anything like this on a Honda & would urge other owners of this model to check it or have it checked, if your passing by all means pop in & i will have a quick check for you if you have any concerns.

Re: Blackbird owners - check your rear suspension

The shop is Raceways Motorcycles in Stevenage, Herts (Old Town) so if there are any local owners they can just pop in - I would imagine any bike workshop would be able to check this out if the owner can't do it though.

I won't look up / post a tel number as it is something that needs to be looked at, and I doubt the shop would be too impressed with me if they get inundated with calls from all over the world! They are not too hard to find on the internet - google ringjunkies and there they are!
