| help me out guys I'm buying a new bike, only problem is its between the CBR600RR and the GSXR600 both '04 models.
So tell me what you think.
I know everyone on here is honda fans (so am I, I've owned nothing but in the past)
But tell me some good things and if any, bad things about the CBR600RR.
I hear that its stiff, really stiff, everyone's telling me that if you hit a bump in the road you'll really feel it compared to the other 600 class bikes out their.
They say its more for racing, then daily back and forth to work/rippen it up on the weekends type of bike on the street.
I know its a quality bike, honda always is and always will be, but poor it on me guys. And all opinions are gladly welcome.
thanks,
Adam |

Adam | Well, you asked for it!
If you want a lightweight race ready bike, either one will be the ticket. I personally think the Honda would be better.
Your info states you have a Fireblade, so you must be aware of the quality of the bike. As far as I know, the 600RR is the (insert your favorite rodent anatomy, such as rat's ass or the latest fo shizzle crap here)
The Suzi may be a great bike, but if I were buying today, it would be the RR. Sorry, but you asked for it! |

| Re: help me out guys I've ridden both and like the Suzuki better. The only thing that I didn't like about the Suzi was the seat-to-peg distance, as it was notably more cramped than the Honda in that area. Otherwise, the GSXR has the RR more than covered, especially iin the engine department. |

| Re: help me out guys Nah, the 600RR is the ticket. It is NO WAY hard in ride, in fact, I stiffened mine up in the front. It is heaps more stable due to the pro link suspension and what I don't like about the GSXR's are that sitting on the bike, the front faring and instruments are way out in front of you, where as the 600RR (like your 929) are close and out of your immediate line of site. The tank being in the frame also makes the 600RR turn and change direction like it's on rails. It's a freak of a bike. I've owned GSXR's, like the Honda's heaps better |

| Re: help me out guys I went to a 600RR from a 929. The 600RR is an awesome bike for just about anything. I ride mine to work/church/friends' houses, backroad blitzes, and I've even taken it on a 4day/1300 mile trip. I have no complaints about the bike. The seat could be a little comfier, and some storage space would be nice, but outside of that...it's everything I could dream of in a 600cc sportbike.
Hope this helps, feel free to PM me if you have any questions. |

| Re: help me out guys Man who ever told you the 600RR was a stiff bike obviously never rode the 03 ZX-6R...that thing is like riding a damn hardtail. I have not ridden the 04 little Gix but I had a 03 600RR and an 03ZX-6R. If it were me I'd get the 600RR for track use and the Kawi for street. The Honda handles way better is way more solid in turns. The seat leaves a bit to be desired in the comfort department but you get used to it.

Dano | Yes, the ZX-6R is not even in the ballpark, suspension-wise. That bike screams for a shock and fork revalve. |
