SD, yeah, that's just a base coat. Not sure yet on the color, especially since I just determined that the bodywork you see is too ill-fitting to keep.
Standard shift, with Woodcraft rearsets (which do away with the 2-piece OEM linkage). |

Keep us posted. I was this close to buying that 600RR myself before the self-preservation instinct kicked in (said no thanks to the meatgrinder class for racing).
Where's the trackday? TWS?

| Re: Work in (slow) progress... LMAO again at Nomad! That's good stuff, man!!!
Tigerblade, yeah, I rode another CBR600rr with GP shift, and don't think it would be a smart move for me to transition to it just yet. Standard shifting just comes too naturally for me, and I don't *need* GP shifting.
I have my local guy trying to work things out with Yoyodyne about the Sebimoto glass not fitting worth a damn. Hopefully, I'll get my money back. If not, I'm out roughly $800. I can't, in good faith, pawn this crap off on someone else without being totally honest about it.
EDIT: Forgot to respond that no, the trackday is at Texas Motorsports Ranch in Cresson (near Dallas).

Can you provide close-up shots? |

The lower is not large enough to reach from one lower edge of the upper to the opposite lower edge, with the upper mounted very loosely, with lots of freeplay. Even with the lower slammed up against the exhaust collector, and loosely mounted to the upper on one side, I still have another inch to go on the other side before I can get it mated to the upper. I'd have to cut out a huge chunk of the belly pan to make it fit. |

Another fitment issue I neglected to mention has to do with the tank cover. If you look closely at the pic, in front of the left fork tube, you can see where I have a spring clamp holding the left extension of the tank cover down to the upper fairing's top edge. I did that only for the pic. There is absolutely no way that piece is going to mate up with the upper fairing. |

| Re: Work in (slow) progress... Bodywork fitment can be extremely frustrating. The MultiTech stuff I had for the RC went on pretty easily but I had a hell of a time with the Hotbodies stuff for the SV. I wrote part of it off due to the fact that the SV doesn't have full bodywork stock, but still.

| Re: Work in (slow) progress... Got my Ohlins rear shock and Galfer ss lines in yesterday, and the Sato frame sliders last week (all that is what prompted me to give a big to Dan Kyle - awesome turnaround time!). I've been buying up rashed OEM bodywork off of Ebay and **********, to have something to run with on the June 7th trackday, so hopefully it all gets here this week. It'll be a mad rush to get the mismatched pieces over to my bodywork guy in time for a little repair and paint. I'm just going to go with solid black or red for the time being, as I suspect I'll be selling this stuff soon in favor of Sharkskins or Armor Bodies fiberglass.
Of the tire choices going through my head, I got the best deal from my local mechanic on a set of Rennsports, so I'll get the soft front and medium rear spooned on this week.
The only thing I won't have by track time is the front fork job, so I'll just set the sag and go.
