On the Road Again...Just can't wait to get on the Road again

Some of you may recall I recently crashed my 02 954 . I went to the dealer this weekend and picked me up an 04 600RR. Why not the 1k you ask? A few reasons 1) First, the $2300 difference in price (not to mention the insurance difference) (side note: I didn't claim the 54' on my insurance - so this is all out of pocket) 2) I don't feel I learned much with the 954 as a first bike (yes, I can now admit testosterone blurred my vision before), and 3) although I love the 1K, I still have the 954 for my over powered speed fix for those rare track days.

I'm sure we can all agree, the world is a safer place because of this decision

I thought I'd also include a quick "first ride review":

Pros:
1) fantastic handling
2) they cleaned up the plastics near the instrument cluster - good looks
3) great gear transition
4) feel very much a part of the bike
5) sit taller like a GP racer

Cons:
1) like the 954, the seat is a plank.
2) tough to get used to the lower RWHP
3) Ummm...okay, I was stretching to get this many cons - this bike rocks!

Note: This review has not more basis of truth then my own miandering experience(s).

That 600rr will be better suited for track duty. IMHO.

Congrats, did you let the wife ride it?

The wifey hasn't ridden it yet, though she's been eye'ing it up a lot. I'm sure she'll get lots of use out of it over the coming months (just ask her )

I would have posted pics but it's a bone stock black and silver 600 - nothing too exciting. That is until I can get the wife to pose on it
