milling the head on an F2?

| milling the head on an F2? I want to mill the head on my F2 to raise the compression, how much material can I remove safely? |

If you have a copper gasket, you could also get a thinner head gasket, or take a layer or two off your existing one(very carefully of course) to accomplish the same for much less money. |

| Re: milling the head on an F2? Back in the day when we did my F2, we shaved just enough to make the head flat (less than .010). There was still a lot of clearance so I guess a bit more would do. You could always do the clay method to see how much room you have. The bigger gain would be in mild port work and a full radius valve job. |
