| Suspension for the G/F Hey all, Got a question for ya. This probably isn't the right forum to ask this, but what the hell. My girlfriend is looking into buying a 600F4i but she is only 5.0' tall. What is the best way to adjust her suspension so that her feet can touch the ground? Would this be best done by adjusting the front and rear suspension settings, or is it going to require something like a lowering kit. Thanks for the help all.... |

We lowered Princess's 600RR almost 3" so she could reach the ground comfortably: Lowered 600RR Pictures |

Did you check out the pics in the thread I linked? |

| Re: Suspension for the G/F If she's only 5', using stock suspension adjustments won't make enough of a difference to matter. You could have the suspension completely redone, to take into account her height probably.
Otherwise, you're going to need to lower it. Or, just let her do like Bacchus and CBRVFR do; lean to one side when coming to a stop. |

Perhaps this is the photo of me that you are thinking of... |

| Re: Suspension for the G/F Lillith is about 5'1, and got her suspension done so that she can get both feet down with tippy toes. She usually just holds the bike up with one leg. Probably best to go to a suspension specialist.

| Re: Suspension for the G/F got a lowering link for my wifes f4i. I don't remember what size it is but she is 5' and can touch now. It was very difficult for her to drive before but after lowering the bike she was very comfortable and happy with the bike. The biggest problem she had was trying to back the bike up while sitting on it, virtually impossible when you can barely get one toe down. Also, she weighs a whopping 100lbs soaking wet so when she tried to lean over with the suspension at original height she could barely hold the bike up. |
